HOLLO — ORIGIN STORY “Born of Shadows & Heartlight” 

Deep beneath the forests of Earth lies a hidden realm called Underhollow — a quiet, glowing world carved into crystal caverns and silver stone. Sunlight never reaches this place, yet it is far from dark. Thousands of tiny, floating lights drift through the tunnels like fireflies, gently illuminating the homes of its mysterious inhabitants. Among these creatures, a single small being was born with something very rare — a Shadow-Heart Crystal, glowing softly inside his chest. This little gothic creature was named Hollo. From the moment he opened his eyes, Hollo was unlike the others. While the Shadowfolk could walk silently through darkness, Hollo could sense emotions and feel shifts in energy around him. When someone was scared, his crystal glowed warmer. When someone felt lost, Hollo could follow the faint pulse of their heart-light and guide them home. But Hollo wasn’t always understood. Some believed his bright heart would attract danger to Underhollow. Others feared light in a world built on shadows. One day, a tremor shook the caverns and the tunnels collapsed, trapping a group of Shadowfolk. Hollo’s crystal blazed brighter than it ever had before, illuminating paths no one else could see. Following the pulse of hope, he led the lost ones to safety. From that day on, Hollo was no longer seen as different — but as a protector. Still, Hollo longed for something more. His crystal hummed with a strange pull, guiding him upward toward the world above. One night, following the light within him, he climbed to the surface... and stepped into a shimmering field under a sky filled with stars he had never seen before. That is where he met Quokki — the first creature of the surface world who wasn’t afraid of his shadows. She simply smiled and said, “Your heart glows. Mine does too. Want to be friends?” From that moment, Hollo found his place in the Quokki Universe — as the gentle guardian from the underground, bringing courage, intuition, and protection to all his friends.
